This is one of the pieces from my upcoming show, Dwelling, at Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana, California.

Dwelling is my latest project, exploring the haunting persistence of one's longing and desire. It consists mostly of graphite drawings and watercolor paintings on various sizes of paper.

The opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 7 to 10 pm; the exhibition will be up until October 30, 2011.

graphite and digital coloring

My upcoming thesis exhibition, Drawstring, features a new body of work inspired by the beauty in nature as well as my appreciation for precious moments and the significant people in my life. In recognition of the powerful emotions experienced in each important relationship, I wish to illustrate these delicate situations using unique visual metaphors. I spent every bit of my energy creating imagery with great details. This show represents all the blood, sweat, and tears in this past year - your attendance will mean a lot to me!

Hooray!

I am going to have my first solo show at Harveys Store/Gallery on Melrose! The opening reception is January 8, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. On this day Harveys will also be launching the totes with my design on them. Please come and check out my artwork (or just to hang out) at the opening. Your attendance will make me so very happy!
